I am so inspired by all of the female entrepeneurs I meet every day, the story of their brands are really their life stories in so many ways and are a treasure trove of wisdom. You really couldn’t make up half of the fascinating twists and turns I hear about and the nuggets of brilliant advice I pick up are priceless. Drs turned illustrators, teachers turned artists and many who have stayed in their industries but decided to go it alone – they all make for an exciting read.
This blog is designed to share some of these fascinating stories and provide a source of inspiration for anyone with a dream to change up their working life. Most of them have had successful careers in other areas and have taken a huge leap of faith to find their purpose, design a new life and start their second (or third or fourth…) story.
The energy that comes from these clients who have figured out what they really love to do and are doing it everyday is truly uplifting. We will talk about their “Why” and the passion that drove them to create their now successful brands. We will hear about the fears and challenges they faced and ultimately what they did to make it happen. Most second stories feature a courageous leap of faith and a rocky transition but always make a great story and provide an abundance of inspiration for anyone with an idea and a dream (and a mortgage and responsibilities!).
We will also hear from guest experts, some of whom have helped me with my transition from senior commercial roles in the pharmaceutical industry to becoming a personal brand photographer. They will share their advice and tools to help you take practical steps forward today if you are ready for change.
